No founder played a more important role in the founding of the United States than Alexander Hamilton. UNH history professor Eliga Gould will discuss Hamilton’s service during the Revolutionary War, the part that he played drafting the US Constitution, his role as the first Treasury Secretary, and his growing entanglement in the republic’s party conflict, which eventually claimed his life.
