Documentary on the Exeter Dam

What we Have in its Place:
Dam Removal, River Revival

In 2016, the beloved Great Dam in downtown Exeter, NH, was to be removed, starting a new chapter for the town and for the river. This film tells the story of both the important cultural history of the dam and the story of the revival its removal brought to the Exeter River. Through archive photos and underwater footage we learn about the relationship between ancient history, the industrial revolution, and the future of the river.
