Amos Tuck and the Town of Exeter

  • Exeter Historical Society 47 Front Street Exeter, NH 03833 (map)

Amos Tuck was a significant anti-slavery politician and a founder of the Republican Party. But he was also a leading citizen of Exeter for 40 years and played an important part in Exeter’s history between 1838 - 1879. Historian and volunteer researcher Mark Willis will look at some of the important events in his life and the history of Exeter.

Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm. The program is open to the public; there is a $5 suggested donation for non-members (or $1 for students).
